While there, I asked Dan Lakin to show me a new model semi-acoustic bass I had seen advertised and he opened a case to show me the only one he had in the workshop. He offered to plug it into an amp so I could hear it but I declined until he said "it had come in for repair and was being returned the next day to its owner....KEITH RICHARDS of the Rolling Stones fame" so I said "plug it in" and sat for a couple of minutes playing Keith Richards bass. What a thrill....for Keith....only joking, it was a unique experience to play an instrument owned by one of my heroes, something I’ll never forget, and a story I tell to anyone who will listen
